Gabriela comes in to tell me she's making soup and asks if she can have some water. I said sure, as long as it stayed outside. Then as I pass by the window in the kitchen, I happened to look out and see the girls with these longs leafy things on the table they were sitting at. NO, NO, NO, not my carrots! What could I do, but to tell them not to do it again, but I invited them in to taste those babies. We washed them up and they were good! They scarffed them down and wanted to go pluck more. I picked too others and we washed them up and enjoyed them as well. We've never grown them before, but think they will be a big hit from now on.
On a random note, this is a hummingbird that had built a nest outside my kitchen window. It's been so fun to see her all the time, buzzing around, and sitting up there.
And today I saw this:
and this:
She's got two babies in that little thing now! Usually we see baby ducks in our pond, but this has been a fun treat for us this year. Another reason why we love our yard!

Love your posts!
Hope you are doing well.
Good job on the garden again this year! I love those little birdie pictures, what a sweet memory.
Let's hang out soon, next week? Do you want to go swimming?
So cool -- love the hummingbird!
