You also eat what is called a "rosca de reyes" or "crown of a king". It's a Mexican pastry that is in the shape of a crown. Hidden inside are little plastic babies. The tradition is, if you find the baby in your piece, you have to do something. We decided that whoever found it would have to wash the toilet. It made it a lot more exciting let me tell ya. Each person got to tell Papi where to cut and guess who ended up with the baby?

El Dia de los Reyes
It's the Day of the Kings. Or at least it was yesterday. It is a Mexican holiday that celebrates the arrival of the Three Wise Men at the birth of our Savior. It is on this day that the children recieve their presents in Mexico. We put a spin on it and on this day our kids recieve new books. They leave out thier shoe and in the morning they find books. We say "the wise men make them wise."
