OUR TOP 10 from the last 3 months!
#1: Gabriela's 7th Birthday
She was super excited about it, but we knew we weren't going any friend parties, so she got a bunch of new clothes instead. I had fun making this pretty little cake for her and the best part was going to see the U.S. premier of ZORRO the musical. It was awesome and she was shocked when some of the cast picked her up and wished her a happy birthday after the show!
#2: Julianne's 4th Birthday
This cake was a since to make and everybody just loved it. Her birthday happened to be on the same day we were taking the youth at church ice skating, so I brought the kids along and Julianne thought all the teens had come to her birthday party and to go ice skating with her. One of the girls even brought her a gift. I work with such sweet girls! And kids were super excited about skating and had a blast. Sophia was really determined to skate on her own after seeing a girl smaller than she, zooming around the rink.
#3: Easter
My mom came in for a week and she happened to be here on Easter weekend. We had a good time together and she kept me from having an emotional meltdown after cutting my hair. She spoiled us all while she was here.
#4: Cousins came into town
This is always a time my kids look forward to every year. They spent every minute they could with the Miller girls and were so sad to see them leave. Miguel ran a half marathon with his sisters (forgot that picture), and the kids had fun at Shelley's family farm.
#5: Cinco de Mayo
Any one that knows our family, knows that this is one of our favorite holidays. We got everyone all dressed up and we had a family party, which was new this year. We also did a murder mystery game with all the inlaws and that was f..u..n..n..y!!! Miguel gets the academy award for sure, for getting into his character of Don Juan Diablo.
#6: Provo Temple Groundbreaking
On Saturday morning at like 8:00am. Miguel mentioned that he had tickets to the groundbreaking and that you had to be seated at 8:30am. He was going to work, and I immediately hopped on the phone and called all my girl friends to see if anyone would answer me at that time in the morning. Of course they didn't, so I snatched Gabriela up and out of bed and can you believe we got dressed and made it there on time! It was a great experience for both of us.
#7: Max's 1st Birthday
I can't believe my little buddy is one. He is the sweetest thing know to man and we were all excited to celebrate this milestone with him. The girls and I made him this choo-choo train cake and they got to decorate all the little cars, but you can tell by the pictures, that we just wasn't that into it. He was happy to get down and play with his new toys. Love, love, love that baby.
#8: Joining a Mexican Folk Dance Team
This has been a huge blessing to our family so far. It fits into what we want for our kids so perfectly. We are all practicing our spanish, meeting new people, learning to dance, and perform. It's awesome and I can't say enough good things about it. We've already had three performances!
#9: Max is Growing like a weed
This kid is on the move and his personality is coming out all over the place. He loves to wander the house with a sock in his mouth, like a little puppy dog. He also loves paper...especially toilet paper. We have to keep the bathrooms shut at all times because he goes straight for the toilet and toilet paper. He's walking now and is so cute toddling around the house.
#10: BYU Family Art Festival
We probably spent 5 hours at BYU that day! The girls got to act out parts for the professional storyteller, make postcards, dance, and explore Islamic art and culture. They especially loved the henna tatoos that we waited over an hour to get in the hot sun. I'm not sure Papi was so thrilled about it when we got home.
+ and added bonus: Father's Day
Here's to the best dad we know!

Miguel was by far the best at the Murder Mystery. And BTW thanks for entertaining us while we were there. And I love that you were able to get the girls into the folklorico group, so awesome.
