Our Chickens

Remember when I posted this . Well those baby chicks grew into these crazy things. That little bity one on Gabriela's shoulder grew into that big fat black and white striped one in this photo.  I have a love hate relationship with these birds. I thought I could be a farmer, but I was wrong. At least not a Utah winter farmer. I do not enjoy freezing my tail off every morning going to feed them. The girls do not help at all. So I think it's time to get rid of the chickens. The girls loved them when they were babies, but now that they are too big to pick up and carry around, they have lost some interest and can't really help take care of them. Sounds like the usual puppy saga. So maybe in a few years we will be ready to take a crack at it again. We did eat some yummy eggs this morning though.

This is the Foxy, the one who I brought back from the dead a few months ago. Miguel calls her Einstein.
This is Pocahontis and Daisy. Pocahontis rules the roost.
See my little rooster there in the middle. He really does drive us crazy. He crows at 4:30 in the morning and doesn't stop until 7:00.

So is this your farewell post? Sounds like you are getting rid of them?

I thought about telling you I would take them off your hands until I read the crowing part :)
