New York, New York, New York!!!

This past weekend I headed for the big city of NY with my mom and sisters. All in all we had a good time. My mom was so sweet to bring us all together and should earn a special blessing from up above for putting up with all the drama, but I won't go into that. The first night we ate at Tavern on the Green and it was yummy. This was my second time to the city, but watching the amazement of these first timers was a lot of fun. You wouldn't know by looking at it that I'm the oldest child. I look like a pip squeak upside these girls. And there is a six and seven year gap between me and those girls. We stayed right on Time Square which was fun and so convienient.

We hit holiday shopping at Macey's.
I hand delivered Gabriela and Sophia's letters to Santa to this giant mailbox at Macey's. Despite what you might think...I'm not pregnant. Note to self: don't button one button on your jacket when you've got a gazillion layers underneath.

I don't think my feet have ever hurt so bad from all the walking. On the third day there, we were able to go out to the Statue of Liberty and go up inside to the crown. It was awesome.

It rained that entire day and we had no umbrella. I sure as heck wasn't going to pay $8 for a poncho, so I just toughed it out for awhile.

Once we got off the ferry, it started to down pour. Some gentleman, and that's being kind, was selling umbrella's for $5 to all the suckers coming off the boat. We grabbed two and in less than 5 minutes the wind took my mom's. It was ridiculous, but gave us a good laugh.

How fun! Was this your 1st time to nyc? I've never been but I think it sounds like a great destination for a girls trip.
